Counting Miracles

Tanner Hughes was raised by his grandparents to be the man he is: a determined, worldly man who, following in his grandfather's footsteps, serves his country as a soldier. He has spent his entire life abroad, and now, after his discharge, he has no intention of settling down. But before he can set out again, he travels home to his ailing grandmother, who asks him for one thing on her deathbed: "Find out where you belong!" And she also reveals the name of the father he never knew and where to find him.
When Tanner, driven by curiosity, travels to a small town in North Carolina, he does not yet know that his entire life will change. Following in his father's footsteps, he meets a single doctor raising her children and an old man living a lonely, secluded life.
